The October Country

Some people mark the days until Christmas or their birthday, but for me it's always been Halloween.

Now, finally, it's the season.  The craft stores are filling up with decorations and the grocery stores have put out their displays of candy.  The air will get clearer, the days cooler.  The leaves will turn.  And then, soon enough, it will be Halloween.

If I could suspend that day and live there forever, I would happily.  So I'm going to try to do what I've always wanted to do: keep the Halloween spirit going every day, all year long.  I'm going to try to live in what Ray Bradbury called the October Country.

Welcome, and wish me luck!
